Ball Arena Upgrades Seating and Lighting for Nuggets' 2026 Finals Push
Downtown venue readies seating, lighting and fan zones as the team targets another deep playoff run.
How we reported this
Ball Arena completed a $12 million renovation of its lower bowl seating and LED lighting arrays this week, with work wrapping on July 9 to prepare for the Nuggets 2026-27 campaign and any potential Finals appearances.
The timing aligns with the NBA schedule release expected next month and the start of single-game ticket sales. Denver last hosted a championship series in 2023, drawing repeated sellouts that tested the 19-year-old facility's infrastructure during extended playoff runs.
Local Venue and Neighborhood Details
The arena stands at 1000 Chopper Circle, two blocks from the 16th Street Mall and adjacent to the Colorado Convention Center. Crews also refreshed the adjacent outdoor plaza along 13th Street, adding shaded viewing areas that connect directly to the RiNo Art District via the nearby 38th Street bike path. These changes build on existing partnerships with the Downtown Denver Partnership, which manages event security along Larimer Street during high-attendance nights.
Season-ticket holders from the Capitol Hill and Five Points neighborhoods received early access codes for the new club-level lounges that open October 1. Average regular-season attendance at Ball Arena reached 19,432 last year, according to team figures released in May.
Ticket Data and Next Steps
Lower-level tickets for the first 10 home games are priced from $68 to $245, with dynamic pricing set to begin July 15 through the Nuggets website and the team app. Upper-level seats start at $32. Fans can also purchase flex packs of five games that include one guaranteed playoff game credit if the team advances past the conference finals.
Parking passes at the arena's on-site garage are capped at $28 for weekday games, with overflow lots along Wazee Street offering $18 rates through a new partnership with the Regional Transportation District. Season ticket renewals close July 22, after which remaining inventory opens to the general public.
Supporters planning to attend opening night on October 28 should arrive early via the free 16th Street Mall shuttle, which adds extra cars during the first week of the season. Game-day information and updated entry protocols appear on the arena website starting July 20.
